Qi Gong

Qi Gong or "energy cultivation" refers to movements and postures that improve health and longevity as well as increasing the sense of harmony within oneself and in the world at large.

The Chinese word Qi (pronounced Chi) may be defined as energy or life force that supports and connects every thing in the universe. Gong refers to work and action in the process of creation.

There are as many styles of Qi Gong as there are teachers to teach them. David teaches a form that is thought to be one of the earliest and most traditional forms of Qi Gong internal martial arts. It is most referred to as "Iron Shirt" or "Standing Like-A-Tree Qi Gong".

Though the physical component of this form is strong and exercises every muscle in the body, improving posture, as well as heart and lung function, it also holds a deeply spiritual element as well. It is based on the ancient Taoist philosophy that everything that is, was, or ever will be is part of the whole.

David believes that there are no vacuums in the universe, that there is no separation. Like the cells in our body, each having a function and purpose, yet each is part of the whole.

This Taoist observation has been confirmed by our scientists, in the post Newtonian mechanical view of the world, in the exploration of quantum physics.

Though the scientists discovered this information one way, it is through Qi Gong practice that David, as well as many Qi Gong practitioners through the ages, have come to know this truth internally, and it's spiritual meaning.

The core message of all the major religions is that we have to surrender to God or the Universe to achieve enlightenment. To surrender in this case doesn't mean submission to God or your environment. It means to become one with all there is, the Tao or if you prefer God.

To achieve an awareness of who we are and be an active participant in the process and splendor of evolution requires that we go beyond "Thought" and become one with our body, which is connected to everything that is.

The practice of Qi Gong  and Meditation as taught by David and applying its principles into your daily activities, will help you go beyond thought and achieve an awareness of who you are. It will also help you to achieve your goals, with less stress and the subsequent risk of disease.
